The Haitian-Americans United, Inc. (H.A.U.) in collaboration with the General Consulate of Haiti in Boston, is pleased to invite the general public to participate in a series of events to celebrate the 2013 Haitian Heritage Month in Massachusetts.

The 13th annual Haitian-American Unity Parade will take place on Blue Hill Avenue, Sunday, May 19, starting in Mattapan Square at 1PM. More than one hundred local organizations, schools and businesses from all over New England, floats and marching bands are expected to participate. This year the parade will be led by Grand Marshal, Reverend Marc Antoine Biennestin, President of the New England Haitian Pastors Association.

The event will feature lead sponsors Mayor Thomas Menino, Mayor of Boston, State Representative Linda Dorcena Forry, Mrs. Marie St. Fleur, Director of the City's Intergovernmental Relations Office, and a host of city and state public officials. Several candidates for this year's local elections are already registered to participate.
