IJDH: Baseball in the Time of Cholera screening

Join the Brandeis-Haiti Initiative and the Institute for Justice & Democracy in Haiti for a film screening of "Baseball in the Time of Cholera." IJDH Director Brian Concannon will facilitate a community discussion about the impact of cholera, which has taken the lives of more than 7,700 people in Haiti and the role of the UN in the cholera outbreak.

Also on Wednesday (since Waltham is not easy for all Bostonians to get to) you can support our friend organization, a Haiti-based LGBT Cultural Center named KOURAJ (Haitian Creole for Courage) that aims to provide a safe space for LGBT Haitian people and to raise awareness through activism and the arts. The event features performance, dance, song, and poetry mainly by Haitian artists. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. The proceeds of this event will go to KOURAJ : BUY TICKETS HERE!
