Sen. Forry, USCIS to host immigration forum in Mattapan

Senator Linda Dorcena Forry is hosting a special meeting with United States Custom & Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Mayor's Office of New Bostonians on Thursday, January 22 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at St. Angela's Parish Hall located at 1554 Blue Hill Avenue, Mattapan. Senator Forry and USCIS will be discussing federal programs such as Haitian Family Reunification Parole Program (HFRPP), Deferred Action for Parental Accountability (DAPA) and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and their impact on the Haitian community.

"The purpose of the meeting is to bring the community together to discuss the various programs and to share up to date information and next steps in the implementation of HFRPP, DAPA and DACA," Forry's office said in a statement. "Senator Forry encourages everyone who may have friends or family affected by these programs to attend. Parking accommodations are being generously provided by Jubilee Christian Church located at 1500 Blue Hill Avenue, two doors down from St. Angela's Parish. All questions may be directed to Senator Forry's office."
